Theodore F. Dugas

July 14, 1950 - September 16, 2021

Jeff Elsass, a good friend of Ted, eloquently described Ted's unique presence with all the people he touched during his life. He will truly be missed and remembered by so many individuals..... "Thursday, September 16, 2021 NYC, the Broadway stage, and the world, lost a brilliant shining light. How does one ever say enough about Ted Dugas? When I would speak of him to anyone, I would tell them, "Ted is one of NYC's treasures. As a master of the healing arts, he saved the careers of multitudes-dancers, athletes, performing artists, top chefs, Wall Street elites, film and TV celebrities and so very many more. While he might not have been seen physically of the Broadway stage, every stage was touched by his healing hands through the artists he treated. I came to know Ted 30 years ago for acupuncture and massage. Like so many I recognized his genius in knowing what the body needed and how to get it moving quickly. We became friends, soul brothers, and for me he was an anchor of safety in all that is required to live life in this city. If I ever had a physical challenge from any aspect of life, he was my "go-to". His connections to the NYC's best of the best in any field you might mention was beyond compare and through his referrals, many lives were saved. The vastness of his cherished friendships and clients endlessly cover the globe. His passion for life, making new friends, exploring the beauty of this world, experiencing the finest in dining, and mastering anything he chose to embrace, will forever be an inspiration. Ted was also deeply devoted to his spiritual life and expressed that "when the time came", he was ready. I look forward to seeing you again someday my friend, my brother. And until then, I shall miss you the rest of my life. Rest peacefully a while, and then sing and dance with the angels, dear Ted."
