Annmarie T. Hartnett

Wantage - Annmarie T. Hartnett, age 91, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Spring Village at Pocono in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Born in the Bronx, New York to the late Michael and Anna (Maier) Jackson, Annmarie lived in Ridgefield Park before she moved to Warwick, New York, where she raised her family and made forever friends in Wickham Village. She and her friends later made the move to Brooksville, Florida together, creating new memories in their golden years. Annmarie had been employed as the secretary to the principal at Pine Island School in Pine Island, New York before her retirement. A dedicated member of the Catholic Church, Annmarie was an accomplished singer, participating in multiple choirs; including a bell choir. She was an active member of St. Stephen’s R.C. Church in Warwick and a member of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church in Brooksville, Florida. Her love of music brought her joy throughout her life, and she delighted in performing on stage with her husband and family. An avid traveler, she and her husband spent their retirement exploring the United States by RV and traveling internationally. Annmarie also loved camping with her family and friends. In retirement, she took up golf, earning numerous trophies and sharing her passion for the game. She was a member of the High Point Country Club in Brooksville, Florida. Annmarie also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Jeremiah Augustine Hartnett; her daughter, Suzanne Kurman; her brothers, Ernest and Donald Jackson; and her parents, Michael and Anna Jackson. She is survived by her children, Jeremiah Hartnett and his wife Carrie, Terese Grazevich and her husband Anthony, Ernest Hartnett, and Marybeth Hromnak and her husband Steven; her son-in-law, Gary Kurman; eleven grandchildren, Anthony and Kristin Grazevich, Jeremiah and James Thompson, Matthew and Meghan Hartnett, Piper, Daniel, and Brianne Hromnak, Michael Kurman, Keith Kurman, and Alice Kostrubal; and two great-grandchildren, Levi Kurman and Abigail Kostrubal. Friends are invited to a memorial mass to celebrate Annmarie at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at St. Monica R.C. Church, 33 Unionville Ave., Sussex, NJ 07461 (973-875-4521).
