Norman C Vreeland Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Norman (Butch) Carlton Vreeland, age 88, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Brakeley Park Center in Phillipsburg after a long illness. Born in Montclair, Norman was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was World War II Naval Veteran, Member of Coast Guard Auxiliary, VFW, and Fraternal Order of Redmen. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Violet on January 26, 2016 and two brothers, Hurl and Eugene Vreeland. He is survived by his children: Jo Ann Zajac and her husband Robert of Wantage, Kathy Coyne and her partner Lenny Bolognini of Milford, DE, Theresa Mitchell of Fayetteville, TN, Norman Vreeland, Jr. and his wife Kristine of Inverness, FL, Thomas Vreeland and his wife Janice of Coral Springs, FL, and Connie Hartman and her husband Eddy Patient of Belvidere; his grandchildren: Kenny, Kim, Michael, Jennifer A., Brian, Jennifer Z., Krysti, David, Alex, Melanie; 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Memorial service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment of Mr. Vreeland’s urn will be held at the convenience of the family.
