Victoria A. Caputo, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Born on July 27, 1948, in Newark, New Jersey, Victoria was the beloved daughter of the late Phillip and Frances Caputo. She was the youngest of six children and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Victoria devoted her life to her family and her faith. She was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Anthony Vlahakes, and a cherished mother-in-law to Bethany Konopinski. Her greatest joy was being Nonna to her two beloved grandchildren, Ellie Bea and Emilie Joy. They were the light of her life, and every moment spent with them was a gift she treasured. A faithful member of Christian Faith Fellowship Church in Lafayette, New Jersey, Victoria found strength, comfort, and purpose in her relationship with God and her church family. Her faith was evident in the kindness, compassion, and love she extended to everyone she met. Victoria found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved spending time with her family, listening to the sound of the ocean, sharing a delicious meal, savoring a piece of dark chocolate, and, of course, sneaking a scoop of ice cream from the freezer. She never turned down a good romantic comedy with a big bowl of popcorn, and she delighted in watching the brilliant colors of the sky at dawn and dusk, often pausing to admire what she lovingly called “God’s art.” She had the most contagious laugh, one that could brighten any room, and a joyful spirit that made those around her smile. Some of her family’s most treasured memories are of Victoria dancing in the living room with her favorite girls, Emilie and Ellie. Those moments of laughter, music, and unconditional love perfectly reflected the warmth and happiness she brought into the lives of those she loved. Victoria will be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering faith, infectious laughter, generous spirit, and the deep love she had for her family. She taught those around her that life’s greatest blessings are found in faith, family, and the simple moments shared together. Victoria is survived by her loving son, Anthony Vlahakes; her daughter-in-law, Bethany Konopinski; her treasured grandchildren, Ellie Bea and Emilie Joy; and her many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Frances Caputo, and her five siblings. While her family grieves her loss, they find comfort in the promise of eternal life and in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. They smile as they imagine Victoria reunited with her parents and siblings, dancing the night away with those she loved, and watching over her family with the same joy and love that defined her life.
