Marjorie Beach

Sussex - Marjorie Beach, age 80, suddenly passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Born in Spring Lake to the late John Lawrence and Ida Chatellier, she had lived in Kearny for many years and was active in the First Baptist Church. She then moved to Montville Township and then West Milford before moving to Sussex County 20 years ago. Mrs. Beach had been employed by G.A.F. Corporation in Wayne in their accounts receivable department for 15 years and had retired 20 years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church for 50 years and was very active in all the church activities at the Sussex United Methodist Church, where she was the former Treasurer for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Woman and was currently serving as their President. Mrs. Beach was also an active member of the Sussex Woman's Club and also in both the Montville and West Milford First Aid Squads. She was a dedicated Christian woman who revolved her life around her family and was especially devoted to her grandchildren. Mrs. Beach was predeceased by her brother, Truman Chatellier in 1990. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Austin Beach; her three daughters, Carolyn Ferguson and her husband Richard of Sussex, Nancy McClelland and her husband Michael of Warwick, NY, and Jeannette Davis and her husband Locke of Chattanooga, TN; her brothers, John L. Chatellier and his wife Doris of River Edge and Donald Chatellier and his wife Betty of Chestertown, MD; her three sisters, Jeannette Payne of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara Syme of Lyndhurst, and Elaine Romaniak of Spring Lake; her four grandchildren, Sean Ferguson and his wife Arielle, Katelyn Tanis and her husband Joseph, Colleen Ferguson and her fianc Steven Fox, and Jessica McClelland; and her two step granddaughters, Michelle Doherty and Sandra LaVigne and their families. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the Sussex United Methodist Church, 15 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Sussex United Methodist Church, 15 Bank Street, Sussex, NJ 07461.
