Beatrice C. Mahouchick

Wantage - Beatrice C. Mahouchick, age 97, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick, New York. Born in Passaic to the late Joseph and Carolina Wargacki, Mrs. Mahouchick was raised in North Haledon and Garfield. She had lived in Clifton and Cedar Run before moving to Sussex County in 1983. She had been employed by Jack Finn as a seamstress at the Botany Village in Passaic and had retired in 1972. She was currently a member of St. Jude The Apostle Church in Hamburg, a member of the XYZ Club at St. Francis de Sales R.C. Church in Vernon, and a member of the Golden Lunch Bunch in Vernon. While living in Clifton, Mrs. Mahouchick was a parishioner of St. Brendan R.C. Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society, a Scout Instructor, and was an R.C.I.A. Instructor. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael (Ondov) Mahouchick in 1983; her two brothers, Stevan Wargacki in 1957 and Julius Wargacki in 1956; her two sisters, Mary Lesko in 1996 and Christina Kepfinger in Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family. 2009; her grandson, William Sura in 2004; and her daughter-in-law, Eiko Mahouchick in 1984. Mrs. Mahouchick is survived by her two sons, Kenneth M. Mahouchick, Sr. and his wife Alberta of the Glenwood section of Vernon and Dennis Mahouchick and his wife Tammy of Jacksonville, NC; her three daughters, Beatrice Bico and her late husband Stephen who passed away in 2009 of Wantage, Marcia Tomporowski and her late husband Stanley who passed away in 1990 of West Creek, and Barbara Obal and her husband Joseph of West Melbourne, Florida; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 from the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Mass of Christine Burial will follow at St. Jude The Apostle Church in Hamburg at 9:30 a.m.. Entombment Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson, NJ. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the funeral home.
